As a family, you should prioritize each other’s mental, physical and emotional health and well-being. These positive habits can help keep you and your loved ones healthy and happy.
Encourage communication
When things get rough, the person you should always turn to is someone you trust- which is your family. Teach your children to talk about their feelings, may it be their problems in school, with friends, or other issues around the family. Make sure you listen and talk it out to solve it and develop a bond with each other.
Stay active
Do tasks with your family indoors or outdoors to get everyone moving. You can do multiple activities such as going to the park in your Faber Residence condo, doing exercise routines together, doing chores, walking, and strolling around the mall. This can help all members stay fit and prevent any long-term issues like back pain because of sitting all day. Time spent in nature can also benefit mental health and help combat stress.
Drink water regularly
Set a daily reminder for the family to meet the requirement of the body to drink 8 glasses of water every day to stay hydrated and reduce the risk of dehydration, heat strokes, and other health issues.
Limit screen time
In an era where technology is prominent, we must find a balance between technology and the real world, preventing everyone in the house from doom scrolling, rotting in bed all day, or excessively watching news, leading to increased anxiety and stress from the negativity that comes with it. We cannot avoid using or fully unplugging from technology, as kids need it for classes and parents for work, but establishing a reasonable period for screen time can help.
Get sufficient sleep
Make sure your family has a comfortable sleep area so they can easily snooze at night. Establish a routine that your family can follow regularly to ensure they get sufficient sleep to improve their mood and get them ready for the next day.
