More and more people are becoming health-conscious and realize the importance of health and are acting upon it to make sure that they are fit and build longevity as they age. Going to the gym is one step closer to a healthy lifestyle, but can be challenging to stay consistent. Here are some ways to make the workout routine stick with you on your path to fitness while condo living in your new home at Lentor Signature.
Ask for Advice
When starting out, it might be daunting and you fear that you might be judged and you have no idea how to work the equipment, try asking for advice. The gym is a nice community. Some might just be the nicest person you’ve ever met! Don’t be scared to ask for advice about form and workouts because they are likely glad to teach you because they also want to see you succeed.
Start Small
When starting out, make sure that you set realistic goals such as being able to go three times a week instead of aiming for the big goals like hitting 225. This gives you a goal to work towards slowly and build on it being more consistent and enjoyable. In time you will start to enjoy the process and be more likely to stick with the gym.
Build a System That Works for You
Instead of going everyday when you just “feel like it”, build a weekly system that you will be able to do consistently. This allows you to have days where you are actually going to the gym instead of relying on motivation and builds discipline. Motivation alone can only take you so far before burning out.
Change of Mindset
It is okay to miss the gym especially when you are not feeling well or did not get a good sleep. If you miss a day do not punish yourself but bounce back stronger. This gives you a reset button to press and get back to your system.
