An iOS issue solution may seem like a daunting task, but with the right tool and a bit of know-how, anyone should be able to do it. If you’re not tech-savvy, don’t worry- here’s a simple guide on how to update your iPhone to the latest supported version.

Back-Up Data

Before attempting to update your iPhone’s software, it’s best to back up any and all data to another storage. Connect to a computer and transfer, or use an external flash drive before focusing on the next step. To ensure a smooth experience, you can free up space on your computer and check your wi-fi connection.

System Settings for the Update

Most ios upgrade and downgrade functions can be found in the System app, which in turn is under the Settings section. Otherwise, you can use a tool to upgrade and downgrade ios software as you’d like. That said, the next step is to tap on Settings, then scroll down all the way to General, and Software Update. Your iPhone will connect to the internet and see if there’s an update for your device, and it will appear as a pop-up.

Download and Install

When ready, tap on the ‘install’ button and the iPhone will begin the process. When the passcode or PIN is asked, type it in and press submit. Depending on the update, the whole thing might take anywhere from a few minutes to less than an hour. Make sure the battery levels are sufficient, and plug your iPhone in if it’s less than 30%.

Connect to a Computer for Troubleshooting

If you’ve encountered an error during the process then you can conduct an ios system repair using a tool. Once completed, your iPhone will restart and will be updated to the latest version. Browse and enjoy the new features.
