The term ‘online games’ can refer to different kinds and genres, each with its own hooks and means of engaging the brain and providing entertainment.

The reason why they’re so popular is because there’s literally a game for everyone regardless of age. Here are a few of the most popular ones to hit the internet.

Casino Games

It’s easy to see the appeal of playing a casino game online. You can make a bet, spin the wheel or come up with a winning hand then get rewarded in the comfort of your own home. Sites such as mgwin88 are home to these types of players who want to relax and have fun.

Today, casino and gambling sites are growing in leaps and bounds in audience and technological advances. You can play with other people across the world or enter a room with a live dealer, for example.

Massively Multiplayer Online

Imagine dozens of people from across the globe gathered into a virtual environment, playing against each other or with each other to achieve a cause. It’s an aspect of online gaming that brings people back and keeps them playing for just ‘one more hour’.

MMOs now have unique offshoots such as battle royale (Fortnite, PUBG) and RPGs (World of Warcraft and its ilk) and even casual ones such as Second Life.

MOBA

MOBA type online games, or otherwise known as multiplayer online battle arena pits a group of players against another to try and eliminate the opposing tower.

Perhaps the best example of a popular MOBA game are League of Legends, DOTA 2 and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang on the smartphone.

Traditional Board Games

Traditional board games have taken the leap to digital and has found great success.

Examples include chess, checkers and popular titles such as Uno, Monopoly and card games. The draw is that they usually do not require an app installation and are easy to play.
