Having a quiet corner in your Parktown Residences condo brings a lot of benefits, including for your health and well-being. Doing so requires some thinking and space considerations as well. Here are five tips to start.

Choose a Quiet Space

Dedicate a nice and secluded corner in your condo for meditation and resting. It should be in a place that doesn’t get too much foot traffic and away from children or pets. The quiet space should be preserved and serve as a sanctuary for you.

Add Your Personal Touch

Make the meditation space yours by customizing it with your items. Start with a yoga mat or rug, then a small table or altar where you keep a journal. You can change the decor or theme, and words of affirmation as needed. The personal touch differentiates you from other meditation spaces and lets you connect to your deeper self as you use it.

Accessories and Meditation Items

The time you spend meditating can be accentuated with a few items. Common meditative accessories include a yoga mat or plush cushion, some scented candles or an incense stick, an affirmation book, and so on. You can also light up and burn diffusion oil for something to calm you down.

Make it Comfortable

At this point you’ll have a meditation space you can call your own. Part of the process involves making yourself comfortable with it. Prop a cushion or lay out the yoga mat and see if it helps. Add some essential oil and try to focus on your breathing and self.

Try It Out

It’s not unusual to find your meditation spot a bit uncomfortable. When this happens, simply find a quiet space again and set it up. Do this until you’ve found the right place.
